Dr. Eric Green's love extended beyond his professional endeavors; he had a deep affection for children, particularly his nieces and nephews, whom he cherished dearly. His nurturing spirit and genuine care were evident in his interactions with young ones, leaving a lasting impression of love and guidance.

Nature held a special place in Dr. Green's heart, with the ocean and its beauty being sources of solace and inspiration for him. The beach, in particular, was his sanctuary—a place where he found peace, serenity, and a deep connection with the world around him. His appreciation for nature's wonders and the calming rhythm of the waves reflected his inner sense of tranquility and love for life.

Dr. Eric Green's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of his beloved family members, who were dear to his heart: his parents, Gerry and Belinda Dalfres Green of Crowley; his maternal grandmother, Mary Edith Gutierrez; his sister, Greta Bergeron, and her husband Jay Bergeron, along with their children Madeiline Deshotel and Oscar Bergeron of Youngsville and great niece Eleanor Deshotel; and his youngest sister, Jana Green Doughty, and her husband Ross Doughty, along with their children Lily, Izabel, and JonRoss Doughty of Lafayette.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Quinton and Helen Green.
